Director of Operations/Design

Michael Stewart, AIA

In his 20-year design career, Mike has created resort, after award-winning, successful resort. What’s his secret? “I can design outside the box because I know where the box is,” he says. “I approach leisure design by first understanding a property’s brand as well as the desires and needs of its market, then balance that with the realities of the development process.” As the Global Director of Design at YWS, Mike directs designers all over the world and has successfully made his approach to leisure design part of YWS culture.
